Thanks for saying hi!

Let me introduce myself and my family and tell you a little bit more about our journey and how we came to start Eliézer Clay! My name is Nadine. I’m mum to three beautiful girls Bethany, Lilly & Taya and wife to my amazing husband of 20+ years, Craig. I’m also a skincare and beauty therapist. I LOVE caring for and encouraging women to nurture a healthy soul, a healthy mind and healthy skin.

In 2021 our family moved from the warmth of the Gold Coast to the (slightly cooler) Adelaide Hills. We were searching for a more sustainable lifestyle, and to find a space where we could slow down — and help others do the same. I've always wanted to one day own and run a retreat that blesses people who desperately need rest and restoration, using my skills and knowledge as a beauty therapist to help and encourage women.

In 2023 we purchased some vacant land in the Adelaide Hills, and set out on that sometimes overwhelming but exciting journey of seeing this dream come to life.

As we began exploring the land, we realised that back in the late 1890s it used to operate as a Kaolin Clay mine. I'd known about Kaolin Clay for years as a key ingredient used in skincare products all around the world. But the more we researched it, the more we began to realise just how remarkable it is — and how deeply connected it was to the vision we already had.

Kaolin is one of nature's oldest and most trusted skincare ingredients. But what struck me wasn't just what it does for the skin. It was what the process of using it does for you. Preparing a kaolin clay mask is, by its very nature, a mindfulness exercise. You mix it slowly, watch the water absorb into the clay, knead it gently into a paste, and apply it with intention. You simply cannot rush it. You have to be present. For a beauty therapist whose whole dream was to help people slow down and take care of themselves, finding kaolin beneath our own land felt like a gift.

That discovery was the inspiration that launched everything. Rather than mine our own land, which requires years of testing and regulatory approvals, we set out to source the finest quality kaolin available. That search led us to the world-class mineral deposits of Western Australia, where our pharmaceutical-grade kaolin clay is processed from pure primary ore.

I then spent years researching complementary natural ingredients. More and more people were looking for organic and clean skincare alternatives, moving away from products packed with dozens of ingredients and preservatives. Eventually, matcha, hibiscus, and jojoba oil kept rising to the top of my research. Together with kaolin as the base, they offer everything a person needs to genuinely treat their skin. And when you blend completely natural ingredients fresh, just before you use them, you don't need preservatives at all. The ritual of preparing your own mask became inseparable from the result. Calming. Intentional. Restorative.

We started sharing our creations at the Stirling Markets, putting the masks directly into the hands of the community we love. The feedback was overwhelming. The results were real.

Eliézer (pronounced Elli-ay-zer) is the name I have had for this dream for over 20 years. It means "God is my Help." It made perfect sense to name this business Eliézer Clay. It's a reminder that everything we need for healthy living can be found in nature.

So every time you take time out for yourself using our products, you're also giving toward something much bigger — and we are so very thankful for your support.

I'd love to hear more about your story too, so please feel free to email me.

Take care of yourself,

Nadine's Signature
