So you've purchased or are considering purchasing one of our Mindfulness Mask bundles and want to know where to start? This is the basic recipe that we include with all our bundles. There really are endless combinations and we'd encourage you to try different ones, depending on the condition of your skin and the results you're wanting to see.

Firstly, here's what you get with every bundle.

  • 1 x 100% Australian Kaolin Clay 
  • 1 x Matcha Powder 
  • 1 x Hibiscus Powder 
  • 1 x 50ml Jojoba Oil (When you purchase the Deluxe bundle)
  • 1 x Mixing Bowl
  • 1 x Mixing Spoon
  • 1 x Large Measuring Spoon
  • 1 x Small Measuring Spoon
  • 1 x Application Brush
  • 1 x Calico Storage Bag

Setup your space.

You could light a candle, run a bath, make a tea or put on some relaxing music. We want this to be your time to slow down, still your mind and spoil your skin!

Combining your ingredients

  1. Begin your treatment by washing your face. 
  2. Prepare a small glass of water. Take your mixing bowl, and using the large measuring spoon add 2 level spoons of clay. (Use 3 large spoons if you want to include your neck and décolletage.)
  3. Mix the powder and clay together with your mixing spoon. The mix ratio of clay to water is 2:1, so if you have 2 spoons of clay, add 1 spoon of water. For 3 spoons of clay, add 1.5 spoons of water. 
  4. The secret here is not to rush in and mix straight away! Watch the water absorb into the clay for about 60 seconds and then using the back of the mixing spoon gently knead your clay and water together, slowly combining them into a creamy paste.
  5. Now it’s time to add 1 small spoon of either Matcha (calming & soothing) or Hibiscus powder (exfoliating & anti-aging). Stir in slowly to reach an even colour & texture.

Application

  1. Apply the mask generously to your skin using the application brush and allow your mask to dry completely. This usually takes 10-15 mins. That’s enough time to enjoy your herbal tea or a glass of wine!
  2. Once the clay is dry, it can become a bit flakey - so be careful not to get it everywhere! Taking a hot shower or warm bath, slowly massage the clay into your skin with wet hands, being extra thorough with your T-zone if you struggle with congestion there. Then rinse off.

Completing your treatment

When your skin is dry it should feel wonderfully soft and smooth! If you have purchased our deluxe bundle, add a few drops of Jojoba oil to your fingers and massage into your skin to complete your treatment.
